A : Where do you live?

أَيْنَ تَسْكُنُ؟

Ayna taskunu?


B : I live on the outskirts of the city.

أَسْكُنُ في ضَواحِي المَدِينَةِ

Askunu fī ḍawāḥī al-madīnati.


A : Is your school over there?

هَلْ مَدْرَسَتُكَ هُناكَ؟

Hal madrasatuka hunāka?


B : No, my school is in the city.

لا، مَدْرَسَتِي في المَدِينَةِ

Lā, madrasatī fī al-madīnati.


A : So how do you go to school?

إِذاً كَيْفَ تَذْهَبُ إلى المَدْرَسَةِ؟

Idhan kayfa tadhhabu ilā al-madrasati?


B : I have a bicycle. I go to school by bicycle.

عِنْدِي دَرّاجَةٌ. أَذْهَبُ إلى المَدْرَسَةِ بِالدَّرّاجَةِ

ʿIndī darrājah. Adhhabu ilā al-madrasati bi-ad-darrājah.


A : Do all your friends go to school by bicycle?

هَلْ كُلُّ أَصْدِقائِكَ يَذْهَبُونَ إلى المَدْرَسَةِ بِالدَّرّاجَةِ؟

Hal kullu aṣdiqā'ika yadhhabūna ilā al-madrasati bi-ad-darrājah?


B : No, some of them go to school on foot.

لا، بَعْضُهُمْ يَذْهَبُ إلى المَدْرَسَةِ مَشْياً عَلى الأَقْدامِ

Lā, baʿḍuhum yadhhabu ilā al-madrasati mashyan ʿalā al-aqdām.
