A: Are you sleeping?
هَلْ أَنْتَ نائِمٌ؟
Hal anta nā'imun?
B: No, I am not sleeping. I am awake.
لا، لَسْتُ نائِماً. أَنَا مُسْتَيْقِظٌ
Lā, lastu nā'iman. Anā mustayqiẓ.
A: At what time do you wake up?
في أَيِّ ساعَةٍ تَسْتَيْقِظُ؟
Fī ayyi sāʿatin tastayqiẓu?
B: I usually wake up at seven o'clock.
أَسْتَيْقِظُ عادَةً في السّاعَةِ السّابِعَةِ
Astayqiẓu ʿādatan fī as-sāʿati as-sābiʿah.
A: What do you do when you get out of bed?
ما الَّذِي تَفْعَلُهُ عِنْدَما تَخْرُجُ مِنَ السَّرِيرِ؟
Mā alladhī tafʿaluhu ʿindamā takhruju mina as-sarīri?
B: When I get out of bed, I take a shower, then I have my breakfast.
عِنْدَما أَخْرُجُ مِنَ السَّرِيرِ، أَأْخُذُ دُشَّاً، ثُمَّ أَتَناوَلُ فُطورِي
ʿIndamā akhruju mina as-sarīri, ā'khudhu dushshan, thumma atanāwalu fuṭūrī.
A: Where do you have your breakfast?
أَيْنَ تَتَناوَلُ فُطورَكَ؟
Ayna atanāwalu fuṭūraka?
B: I have my breakfast in the dining room.
أَتَناوَلُ فُطورِي في غُرْفَةِ الطَّعامِ
Atanāwalu fuṭūrī fī ghurfati aṭ-ṭaʿām.
A: What do you have for breakfast?
ما الَّذِي تَتَناوَلُهُ في الفُطورِ؟
Mā alladhī atanāwaluhu fī al-fuṭūr?
B: Generally, I eat a little bread and I drink coffee.
عَمومَاً، آكُلُ قَلِيلَاً مِنَ الخُبْزِ وَأَشْرَبُ قَهْوَةً
ʿUmūman, ākulu qalīlan mina al-khubzi wa-ashrabu qahwatan.
A: Don't you eat cheese?
أَلا تَأْكُلُ جُبْناً؟
Alā ta'kulu jubnan?
B: No.

A: Don't you drink milk?
أَلا تَشْرَبُ حَلِيباً؟
Alā tashrabu ḥalīban?
B: No.
